Annie Lennox, Nile Rodgers and Mick Jagger are among the stars set to raise funds for post-Covid relief work in India during the ‘‘We For India’ livestream event.
Set to air August 15, the three-hour event will feature over 100 major stars and icons from the world of music, film, comedy and sports urging donations to support GiveIndia, the country’s largest donation platform.
Eurythmics star Annie will appear alongside her daughter Lola, who will give an exclusive, original performance, while Nile is on the billing with fellow disco royalty Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary, who will perform a medley of hit songs and a preview of their upcoming music.
Lead singer and founding member of Rolling Stones Mick Jagger, twice Academy Award winner A.R.Rahman and global superstar Ed Sheeran will also feature, along with India’s biggest stars.
