Carly Rae Jepsen is back with her first LP in three years – the 24-track double album ‘Day And Night’.
Due September 18 via Interscope Records, the project is divided into ‘Day’ and ‘Night sections; ‘Day’ is “organic and raw, with live instrumentation and hints of ’70s-inspired psychedelic pop”, while ‘Night’ is “exploratory and intense, shifting into a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop”, according to a press release.
The album is a collaboration with Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert and Cole M.G.N.
A first taste of the record arrives this Friday, June 26 in the form of lead single ‘On Wires’.
Jepsen – who released her most-recent, seventh album ‘The Loveliest Time’, in 2023, as a companion to her previous LP, 2022’s ‘The Loneliest Time’ – will launch ‘Day And Night’ with a headlining performance at New York City’s All Things Go Festival on September 27.
