The Fizz will release their new album ‘Everything Under The Sun’ in a “few weeks”, Cheryl Baker has confirmed.
The group are set to return with their first album since 2020’s ‘Smoke & Mirrors’, with Mike Stock resuming writing and production duties.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, Cheryl said: “We’ve got an album! We’ve done another album with Mike Stock and it’s released in a few weeks.
She went on to reveal she’s “heard it all and it’s the best we’ve ever done”.
The group teased new music in an exclusive interview with Retro Pop, confirming 10 tracks have been recorded, including a yet-to-be-revealed Paul McCartney cover.
While the group gets the final say on what makes the album, Stock masterminds the project and is taking the band in a “new direction,” with “a few different flavours”.
Also on songwriting duties is Cheryl Baker’s daughter Kyla Stroud aka LAKY, who penned recent tracks Amen and Storm.
The new song, Cheryl says, “brings in lines from old Bucks Fizz songs” and is a true celebration of the band’s legacy.
