Sophie Ellis-Bextor has unveiled the stunning artwork for her forthcoming seventh album ‘HANA’.
Due this summer, the hitmaker’s first studio record since 2016’s ‘Familia’ was born of a 2020 trip to Japan, “before the world tilted.”
Of the collection, she says: “Its name means blossom […] There are themes of optimism, new starts, adventures and reflections.”

Sophie previously teased the LP features “a lot of synthesisers,” with collaborator Ed Harcourt describing the sound as “kaleidoscopic joy”.
Launching the record is lead single Breaking The Circle, which is “inspired by those late-night moments you have, where you question everything and feel a buzz of adrenaline about what tomorrow might bring.
“It’s urgent and dramatic and optimistic… the perfect introduction to the new album.”
