Mariah Carey looks to have new holiday music on the way. 

The Queen of Christmas took to social media at midnight on Monday to officially kick off the 2021 festivities with a special video clip.

In the film, Mariah, who is dressed in a sparkling, red gown and carrying a red and white bat, is seen leaving her house to destroy the Halloween decorations.

Among those are three pumpkins, bearing the message “It’s Not Time”, and the Oh Santa! star destroys the “Not” pumpkin, declaring “It’s Time”.

She then changes into a sparkling jumpsuit as her holiday classic All I Want for Christmas is You plays in the background.

As she plays with presents and throws fake snow up in the air, the camera pans to one Christmas present that has the date “11/5″ decorated on it, suggesting Mariah has a new release coming later this week.

The video ends with the message: “It’s Time!!! To smash that pumpkin and treat it as pie… cause we still gotta get through Thanksgiving!!!”

While Mariah has yet to confirm the nature of the release, fans spotted the hashtag #FallInLoveAtChristmas has a festive emoji, suggesting it’s the title of a new track. 

Last year, Mariah released her holiday show ‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’ on Apple TV+, with a follow-up due later this year. 

“When we do this Christmas’ Apple special – which is happening and it’s going to be very exciting…” she teased. “We haven’t announced it yet, this is between me and the Lambily.

“The truth is, they really care about making something that is inclusive and something that makes everybody feel festive and feel happy during the holidays.

“I grew up with too much sadness on the holidays and I have resigned myself to the fact that will never happen to me again, so I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. So we gonna make it happen.”

The new special comes after Mariah finally took All I Want for Christmas is You to the top of the UK charts for the first time, 26 years after it was first released, in 2020.
