Mariah Carey is already looking to the holidays as she confirms a brand new Apple TV+ special set to debut later this year.
The All I Want for Christmas is You hitmaker teamed up with the studio last year for ‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’, which saw the star fulfil Santa’s wish and restore festive joy around the world.
It also featured guest appearances from stars including Snoop Dogg and Bette Midler, plus Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson, who recorded a new version of Oh Santa! with Mariah.
And speaking during a fan Q&A on Twitter’s Spaces platform, Mariah confirmed she’d be back in December with a brand new holiday show.
“When we do this Christmas’ Apple special – which is happening and it’s going to be very exciting…” she teased. “We haven’t announced it yet, this is between me and the Lambily.
“The truth is, they really care about making something that is inclusive and something that makes everybody feel festive and feel happy during the holidays.
“I grew up with too much sadness on the holidays and I have resigned myself to the fact that will never happen to me again, so I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. So we gonna make it happen.”
The new special comes after Mariah finally took All I Want for Christmas is You to the top of the UK charts for the first time, 26 years after it was first released, in 2020.
