Six years after he made a surprise appearance during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira‘s 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Bad Bunny returned to the stage to headline the spectacle on Sunday (February 8) night.
The rapper’s performance marks a milestone for the annual event, with the musician becoming one of only a handful of Latin artists to headline the NFL’s halftime slot, and the first Spanish-only performer during a halftime show in Super Bowl history.
However, he wasn’t alone in taking to the stage, and despite rumours that previous collaborators Cardi B and Daddy Yankee could join him, it was chart-topping pop superstar Lady Gaga and fellow Puerto Rican Ricky Martin that appeared during the spectacle.
More Gaga sang a salsa version of her Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Die With A Smile’, while Martin delivered a show-stopping version of ‘Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii’.
The show saw Bad Bunny dressed in a futuristic white suit as he sang a medley of hits, including ‘Tití Me Preguntó’, ‘Dakiti’, ‘Baile Inolvidable’ and ‘Where She Goes’, before closing the mini-concert with ‘DtMf’.
