Cyndi, who is credited as the art director for ‘True Colors’, with cover photography by Annie Leibovitz, has also unveiled a special Instagram filter for fans to use on her Instagram account.
The album, originally released on October 14, 1986, earned two Grammy nominations for True Colors in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for 911.
The title track was originally penned for Canadian country-pop star Anne Murray, who turned the song down.
“When I heard our demo, I realised it had intimacy, and intimacy was the most important thing,” said Cyndi of the single.
