Claire Richards finally revived her Stars In Their Eyes stint as the iconic Karen Carpenter for her latest #Claireaoke video.
The One For Sorrow singer has been inundated with requests from fans to perform a Carpenters classic during her online series, and on Sunday she finally gave in.
Alongside her clip of Rainy Days and Mondays, Claire wrote: “Many of you may know that my number one musical hero growing up was the legendary Karen Carpenter.
“Her voice could bring a song to life like nobody else, and she really did inspire me to make singing my passion.
“I figured it was about time to try a The Carpenters song for #Claireaoke. This is one of my favourites, #RainyDaysAndMondays.”
The 7 Billion star added: “Even in these strange times when it feels like an endless rainy Monday, keep your head high and remember that kindness is contagious.”
Over the course of the #Claireaoke series, the singer has covered hits including Wilson Phillips’ Hold On, Take That’s Said It All, Anastacia’s I’m Outta Love, Celine Dion’s I Surrender, Laura Branigan’s Gloria, Zedd’s Clarity, and her Steps audition song, River Deep, Mountain High.
