Christina Aguilera is channelling her early sound on her new English language material.
The hitmaker recently released her Spanish-language album ‘Aguilera’ and according to sources is in the process of recording another new project.
Speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre column, they said: “It’s early days but Christina is back working on new music.
“She really enjoyed trying something different with ‘Aguilera’ which was a real passion project for her, but she is ready to go back to her pop roots.
“At the moment she is experimenting with sounds but it’s likely to be the dancey commercial sound with big vocals that fans love her for.”
Christina is currently playing a series of live dates across the UK and will headline Brighton pride on August 6.
Speaking about her return to Spanish language music earlier this year, Christina recently admitted: “It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for so many years.
“I have an amazing team behind me that’s so supportive. I’ve been in music for a really long time, but there’s nothing like being around Latin musicians and artists, the energy they bring to the table, the love and the passion they just bring and exude.
“I actually am reinspired by music all over again, making this album.”
Christina won a Latin Grammy Award for her first Spanish LP ‘Mi Reflejo’, which dropped a year after her self-titled debut album.
