Missy Elliott is keen for her cover of Car Wash to make its streaming debut.

The rapper teamed up with Christina Aguilera on a cover of the 1976 Rose Royce classic for the soundtrack to the 2004 animated film ‘Shark Tale’, but to this day it remains unavailable on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Following calls from fans, the Work It hitmaker took to X to ask bosses at Universal Music Group and Geffen Records to help make it happen.

She penned wrote: “@UMG .@GeffenRecords, the fans tagged me wanting to know why the song Car Wash on #Sharktale soundtrack not on some streaming sites…

“Can you please help out because many of them have been asking as you can see and miss it.”
