Cher will return to the stage to headline the WisdomSound benefit concert for the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Nunnery in Nepal.
The All or Nothing hitmaker joins Richard Gere, Norah Jones, Angelique Kidjo, Steve Miller Band, Gregory Porter and Maggie Rogers in the line-up for the global stream on November 8.
WisdomSound will be broadcast via Mandolin.com and will be available for on-demand viewing until November 22.
Admission will be free but donations are suggested.
The Buddhist centres provide education to young children from rural villages, food packages to subsistence workers impacted by the pandemic, and support women’s health programmes.
Cher was mid-way through her ‘Here We Go Again’ Tour before the pandemic hit and she recently admitted returning to the stage is daunting.
“After being off the road for more than 2 yrs… It’s Really Scary,” she recently tweeted.
The Believe star is expected to announce new dates shortly.
