Pebe Sebert – who has penned hits for artists including Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Pitbull, and her daughter, Kesha – will finally release her debut album on December 12.
The singer-songwriter confirmed that the self-titled project will arrive before the year is out in a post on Instagram, with the collection boasting recordings dating back to the ’80s, including the singles Vampire and City’s Burning.
Following the announcement, Your Love Is My Drug hitmaker Kesha took to X to praise her mum for revisiting and finally releasing the record.
“I grew up in the studio, watching my mom turn her life into songs,” she wrote. “These moments became stories. These stories are her life. She wrote an album before I was born. This was the only album she made as an independent artist before focusing her life on raising her children and writing songs for other people.”
Kesha, who is helping to release the LP on her eponymous record label, continued: “I grew up watching this alchemy, and I only became who I am because of the road she paved before me.
“I’m so proud to finally release my mom’s debut album on KESHA RECORDS, and I’m so proud of her release today!”
