Vengaboys are keen to represent the UK at Eurovision 2022.
The group scored a string of hit singles across Europe in the late ‘90s, including UK No. 1 singles Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! and We’re Going to Ibiza.
Now, they’re back and, in an interview with Metro, the group admitted they’d love to represent Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Singer Robin Pors said: “We can represent the UK.
“I was so embarrassed because the UK was really good.
“The song was nice and the singer was nice but they were like, ‘Whatever, zero points.’ How was that even possible?
“Next year we are going to arrange it. We love the UK.”
James Newman represented the UK at the contest in 2021 with his track Embers, but finished at the bottom of the scoreboard with zero points.
The 2022 contest will be held in Italy after rockers Måneskin won with Zitti e buoni.
Meanwhile, Vengaboys returned earlier this month with their cover of Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s 2018 single 1999.
