Claire Richards has honoured frontline workers at the NHS with a new cover of Bette Midler’s Beaches classic, Wind Beneath My Wings.
The Steps star shared the latest video in her Claireaoke series on Thursday, writing in the caption: “Tonight we show our appreciation to all the incredible staff in the NHS at 8pm with #ClapForOurCarers.
“I am in constant admiration of the incredible work of our doctors, nurses, support staff – not to mention all the other #LockdownHeroes including supermarket workers, delivery staff, bus drivers and so many more,” she continued. “They put their own health at risk in order to keep the rest of us safe and healthy.
The Shame On You star went on to say: “This edition of #Claireaoke is my own little tribute to them all – Bette Midler’s #WindBeneathMyWings.
“This was quite emotional to film for you as this song means a lot to me anyway, so I’m glad I got to the end before any tears got the better of me, I do hope you enjoy it.”
