The album features contributions from Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, Jim Carrey, Swedish House Mafia, Max Martin, Calvin Harris, and others.
Carrey narrates the trailer for the record, saying: “You are now listening to 103.5, Dawn FM. You’ve been in the dark for way too long. It’s time to walk into the light and accept your fate with open arms.”
In a Twitter post, he heaped praise on The Weeknd, writing: “I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony.”
The musician is believed to have pushed forward the release of the LP and physical editions – including CD, vinyl and cassettes – will not be available during its opening week.
Following the release of his fourth album, The Weeknd has collaborated with stars including Ariana Grande, Post Malone and FKA Twigs, along with the late Aliyah on the single Posion.
