Knitting has been unmasked as Steps star Claire Richards on the latest instalment of ‘The Masked Singer UK’.
Following weeks of guessing from fans at home, the Tragedy hitmaker was finally unveiled as the voice behind the character during Saturday night’s show.
After being unmasked following a performance of Anastacia’s Left Outside Alone, the singer said she took on the challenge because she’s “a huge fan of the show”.
“And the idea of being able to sing without anyone being able to see me is my dream come true,” she added.
“I loved my mask and outfit, she was so pink and cuddly. She’s just like everyone’s favourite Nana!”
Claire continued: “When we were looking at ideas she really stood out as it felt like it was perfect for me. I love crafting and I love pink and I felt like she would be just like me, character-wise.”
During the same show, actress and comedian Daisy May Cooper was also unveiled as the voice behind Otter and had the panel in stitches as she admitted: “I’m exhausted. Why couldn’t I have been a sloth or something? It’s so much jumping around.”
Next week Jellyfish, Fawn, Jacket Potato, Phoenix and Rhino will battle it out in the semi-final.
‘The Masked Singer UK’ airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1 & ITVX
