The Lottery Winners have released their brand new single Worry.
Arriving ahead of their UK tour supporting Frank Turner at the end of January, the indie pop track is the first taste of the group’s new album, due out later this year.
Of the single, frontman Thom Rylance says: “Worry is a stomper for the chronic overthinkers. For those who lie in bed at night staring at the ceiling replaying conversations that don’t actually matter that happened four years ago.
“I really like it, and really like that we’re offering something different from the typically optimistic Lottery Winners you may be used to.”
Alongside the single, The Lottery Winners have shared a visual that puts the viewer in the position of said ceiling, watching Thom toss and turn through his worries before succumbing beneath the sheets.
Of the video, Thom says: “We basically just glued a fucking bed to the wall. And a table, and some chips. That was our only idea. Let’s glue loads of stuff on the wall and see what happens.
“Luckily, we got a pretty good music video and brand endorsement with No More Nails. I also glued my only lighter to the wall, which was inconvenient.”
This upcoming album is the band’s third, following their self-titled 2020 debut and its follow-up ‘Something To Leave The House For’ (2021).
