The 25th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ debut single Wannabe will be celebrated with a new documentary.
The track was a massive hit for Mel C, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner and Mel B, taking them to the top of the charts and introducing Girl Power to the world.
They debuted the hit in 1996 and, to mark the song’s 25th anniversary next year (21), the iconic pop band will be featured in the new Channel 4 film Girl Powered: The Spice Girls.
The show will feature archival footage and “revealing interviews”, according to a press release.
“Spice Up Your Life with new documentary Girl Powered: The Spice Girls,” the network shared on Twitter.

According to reports, the Spice Girls are discussing reuniting one last time in 2021 for a “farewell tour” – with both Emma and Mel C confirming another reunion is on the cards.
The news comes following Emma revealed the bandmates reunited last week to enjoy a post-lockdown hike in the woods.
