Soft Cell, Kool and The Gang and Tom Jones have joined the line-up for the 2023 Hampton Court Palace Festival.

The summer series of open-air concerts returns to the royal landmark from June 6 to June 17, with the latest cohort of stars confirmed to take to the stage.

Synth pop legends Soft Cell will headline the series on June 7, with funk and soul legends Kool and The Gang appearing on June 9 and Welsh star Tom set to top the bill on June 14.

Grace Jones, Kaiser Chiefs, Bjorn Again and Rick Astley were among the first acts confirmed to play the event.

The shows take place in an intimate 3,000-seat auditorium in Base Court, set against the backdrop of Henry VIII’s Tudor Palace.

The 2022 event featured sets from Crowded House, Jack Savoretti and UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell.

Tickets for all dates are on sale now, except for Soft Cell and Kool and The Gang which go on general sale March 8.
