Robbie Williams’ new album is packed with “massive guitars” and “pop hits”.
The Angels singer – whose biopic, ‘Better Man’, is showing in cinemas now – shared details of the follow-up to his 2019 festive LP in an interview with NME, including a track called Rocket that features Black Sabbath stars Tony Iommi and Glen Hughes.
Calling the song his “favourite” on the record, he elaborated: “I wanted to make the album that I’d make if I’d left Take That now, knowing what I know.
“This particular song [Rocket] encapsulates that perfectly. Unfortunately and fortunately for me, pop songs turned up along the way, too. I’m like: ‘Ah, fuck – a hit!’”
Robbie – who is hitting the road for a 2025 UK and European tour – added: “This [track] is massive guitars, as you can imagine. It’s adrenaline-filled and balls-to-the-wall. That one in particular is my favourite song off my new album – that I’ve just announced is happening!”
Pushed for more details about the album, Robbie joked that it all depends on how his movie performs at the box office.
“I dunno – let’s see how well the film does…” he said.
