Neil Tennant is selling the coat he wore on the artwork for Pet Shop Boys’ recent single, Loneliness.
The track served as the lead single from the duo’s latest album, ‘Nonetheless‘, which became their highest charting LP in over 30 years.

Now, he’s put the black coat he wore on the single sleeve up for auction to raise money for UK nonprofit War Child.
A description on the lot reads: “Neil Tennant’s coat worn on the cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ new single Loneliness. Signed inside by Neil Tennant. Formed in 1981 the Pet Shop Boys’ are an English synth-pop duo from London.
“Three-time Brit Award winners and six-time Grammy nominees, since 1984 they have achieved 42 top 30 singles, 22 of these being top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart.”
Funds raised in the auction – which ends Thursday, May 16 – will help “protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict, offering hope for a safer, brighter future to many more children”.
In a review of the album, RETROPOP called ‘Nonetheless’ “a bold, current and exciting body of work that stands tall alongside the very best of their catalogue”.
