Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly relaunching her solo career with a massive new David Guetta collaboration.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre Column, the Pussycat Dolls star – who hasn’t released solo music since 2016 – is planning a comeback this month.
The Poison star is said to have teamed up with Titanium hitmaker for a dance track called The Drop, which will be released next week.
It’s believed Nicole has more new music in the works, with tracks set to drop throughout 2022.
Nicole announced her return during an intimate show in Los Angeles earlier this year, saying, “I’ve been doing some writing lately, working on this album,” while debuting one of her new songs, Never Going Back.
“I’ve been underestimated, undermined, under-rated,” she sang, according to the outlet. “If you only knew what it takes every day just to defeat it.
“See you don’t know where I came from, you don’t know what I’m made of, you don’t know.
“If you ain’t living my story, then you ain’t living my glory… I ain’t never going back. I’ve come too far for this, I fought too hard to miss.”
It comes after the group was shrouded in legal issues when founder Robin Antin sued Nicole Scherzinger over allegations she wanted complete control over the future of the band.
According to papers filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Robin and Nicole came to a deal for a reunion tour and a new Pussycat Dolls business venture in late 2019.
While the Stuckwitchu singer originally agreed to receive 49 per cent of potential earnings, Robin says Nicole now “refuses to participate in the tour” and has “demanded to renegotiate the terms” of their agreement.
However, in response to the filing, Nicole’s lawyer claimed it’s a “desperate attempt to divert blame for her own failures by trying to impose obligations on Nicole that simply do not exist”.
“Nicole loves and respects the PCD fans and hopes to one day be back on stage performing the group’s amazing hits for them,” they added. “Sadly, this will not happen under these circumstances.”
