Martin Kemp’s 1995 brain tumours helped prepare him for life in lockdown.
The Spandau Ballet star recovered from two brain tumours in the mid-90s and, speaking to OK! magazine, he admitted the health woes have stayed with him.
“When I was going through that, (son) Roman was really young, so I’m not even sure how much he remembers,” the True hitmaker shared.
“But I think as a family, it still rubs off on you. It makes you appreciate each other because you learn that you never know what’s around the corner. We’re all learning that right now.”
The Gold star continued: “My health battles were a long time ago, but it was a real shock and I think it stayed with me and Shirlie and, in a way, was passed down to Harley and Roman.”
Martin is set to open up on his life and relationship with the Pepsi & Shirlie singer in a new memoir, due for release in October.
