The Lambily’s dreams were finally answered on Friday when Mariah Carey finally made her 2001 soundtrack album Glitter available on streaming platforms worldwide.
Back in 2018, Mimi fans launched the #JusticeForGlitter campaign, which saw the sorely overlooked album land at No. 1 on the US iTunes Chart.
The success of the campaign has sparked several similar social media initiatives – including two more Mariah efforts – and fans’ requests paid off, as the star finally put the full record online.
A lil' late, a lil' late, but to show my appreciation for #JusticeForGlitter, it’s now finally available everywhere! I thought we could all use some retro fun during this time! ????? ??????? https://t.co/8UtWpZWUf1

“A lil’ late, a lil’ late, but to show my appreciation for #JusticeForGlitter, it’s now finally available everywhere,” she tweeted, after rebranding her account as Billie Frank – her character in the movie, Glitter.
“I thought we could all use some retro fun during this time!”
The semi-autobiographical Glitter sees Mariah play a young singer who dates a DJ, who helps her get into the music business.
However, their relationship becomes complicated as she ascends to super stardom – mirroring the It’s Like That star’s relationship with first husband, music executive Tommy Mottola.
