Marc Almond is finally set to hit the UK stage with his solo tour this October.
Having been delayed multiple times, most recently this spring, due to Covid, the Soft Cell star has added extra dates in Liverpool, Buxton, York and Cambridge.
He says: “The fans have been so understanding and patient through the endless rescheduling due to the pandemic but now we have confirmed these dates I can’t wait to get back on stage”.
Marc's 2022 UK tour has now been fully rescheduled and the full list of dates and venues is as below. Tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow, 26 May, and general sale on 27 May. Tickets bought from the Roundhouse will be refunded, while tickets bought on Ticketmaster will be automatically transferred to the Palladium show.
Marc will be singing songs from his last Top 20 solo album, ‘Chaos and a Dancing Star’, released in March 2020, plus favourites from his extensive catalogue and his biggest hits.
The full list of tour dates is as follows:
October 16 – The Palladium, London
October 17 – Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool
October 18 – Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
October 20 – Opera House, Buxton
October 21 – Barbican, York

It comes after Soft Cell returned to the Top 10 in May with their first album in 20 years, ‘*Happiness Not Included’, featuring the hit Pet Shop Boys collaboration Purple Zone.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop said ‘*Happiness Not Included’ “boasts 12 fabulously Soft Cell numbers, laced with Marc Almond’s lyrical wit and underpinned by standout instrumentation from Dave Ball.”
‘*Happiness Not Included’ is available now.
