Rising star Lola Lennox has released her hotly-anticipated debut EP ‘Dreamer’.
Produced by Braeden Wright and executively produced by Lola’s mother, Eurythmics legend Annie Lennox, the five-song set is a showcase of her versatility as a singer and songwriter.
“I called this EP ‘Dreamer’ because I wouldn’t be who I am today without dreaming. Being a dreamer showed me my heart’s desire and gave my life vision and purpose,” she explains. “The word perfectly encapsulates every song on the EP because they were created from the seed of a dream, from a wistful moment where I lose track of the literal world and connect to something transcendent.
“I am very excited to share this body of work, each song captures a moment in my life, and together they portray a story of me, a broader sense of my experiences and reactions. Making the music on this EP has been some of the best times of my life, it has been so rewarding to see my ideas come to life, to be challenged and to grow, and finally, to share my work with others.”
Alongside previous releases including Want More and Love Like That, the EP also includes Lola’s latest single, its title track.
Ahead of the release, RETROPOP named Lola as One to Watch in 2023, with the singer sharing of the project: “I’m excited to have a collection of songs out, where some are more uptempo and fun and others are more intimate and emotional. I can’t wait to share the music I’ve been working away on!
“I’d love for many people to enjoy my music, for it to bring comfort and joy,” she added. “I’d love to play more shows, particularly in the UK and to continue writing songs that I’m proud of. I’m always on a mission to grow and expand my craft, and I’m so grateful that I can do the thing I love.”
