The singer-songwriter, who will be supported by the rising star on his UK tour this month, leaps from No. 15 to No. 2, challenging RAYE for the top spot.
According to the Official Chart Company, she’s holding strong atop the rundown in the midweek chart, but with only 2,000 sales between the top two spots she faces tough competition.
Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero holds strong at No. 3, with Meghan Trainor’s Made You Look at No. 4 and Venbee & Goddard’s Messy In Heaven rounding out the Top 5.
Meanwhile, Taylor is headed for a fifth week atop the Albums Chart with ‘Midnights’, while SZA also holds steady at No. 2 with ‘SOS’.
At No. 3 is The Weeknd’s ‘The Highlights’, while Gabrielle Alpin debuts at No. 4 with ‘Phosphorescent’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘=’ is at 5.
