Janet Jackson appears to be readying new music after sharing a pair of selfies fresh from the recording studio. 

The music legend released her 11th, most recent album ‘Unbreakable’ in 2015 and, prior to the pandemic, teased its follow-up, ‘Black Diamond’, was on the way. 

While Janet was forced to axe her ‘Black Diamond’ Tour, new music has yet to materialise, but that all looks set to change.

Taking to Instagram, the Nasty star shared a pair of snaps from the recording booth as she works on tracks for her latest project. 

Although she didn’t share further information about the new tunes, DJ Aktive – who serves as tour DJ for the singer – commented “Uhhh ohhhh… Boss time”. 

Earlier this year, Janet appeared to signal a new era by changing the layout of her official website with a new image of the star. 

A release date for the project – her first since being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – has yet to be confirmed.
