Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of her career, the ‘Together Again’ tour spotlights the iconic ‘Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814’ (1989) and has already earned the icon the highest selling trek of her career.
It comes after the Nasty hitmaker recently confirmed plans to release new music – five years after announcing her 12th album, ‘Black Diamond’, which has yet to materialise.
“On the last tour that we did in the States last year – the ‘Together Again’ tour – we did a few different songs, but this time around were even gonna do more songs, different ones that I’ve never done live before,” she shared.
“There might be a new song here or there as well.”
Pressed further on the subject, Janet – who released her most-recent LP, ‘Unbreakable’, in 2015, elaborated: “I feel bad because I mentioned this prior…
“It was supposed to come out, but we went into the pandemic and on top of that was a couple of things that I needed to straighten out in my backyard.
“So now, since we’re past all that, we’re going about putting out new music for sure.”
