Jake Shears has shared the second single from his upcoming sophomore solo LP ‘Last Man Dancing’.
Devil Came Down the Dance Floor serves as the follow-up to the disco-influenced Too Much Music and sees the Scissor Sisters star collaborate with New York vocalist Amber Martin, with whom Jake previously worked on the group’s Pharrell-produced track Inevitable.
“Devil… was a joy to create and I’m so excited to share it,” he says of the single. “Amber Martin is one of my best friends and favourite singers and it’s an honour to have her absolutely killing it on this song.”
The follow-up to Jake’s 2018 self-titled debut LP also features collaborations with Kylie Minogue and Big Freedia, plus a cameo from Jane Fonda and “words of wisdom” from Iggy Pop.
In support of the record, the hitmaker will play three intimate UK headline shows, including London’s Village Underground on its day of release.
‘Last Man Dancing’ is out June 2 via Mute and available to pre-order now.
