Graham Coxon admits the dynamic between the members of Duran Duran is similar to that of his band Blur. 

The musician has teamed up with the ‘80s supergroup to work on their forthcoming album ‘Future Past’ and features on several cuts, including lead single Invisible. 

Speaking to The Independent, Graham opened up on their working relationship and confessed he slotted into the line-up seamlessly. 

“I somehow found myself in Duran Duran for a bit,” he laughed, after making his stage debut with the group at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this year. 

“The hardest bit was trying to find something on the clothes rack that wasn’t really too mental for me to wear

“I did put a beginners’ amount of eyeliner on,” he quipped, adding, “I quite enjoyed that. It was surreal and so much fun. 

“They’re all really nice and they’re not, as individuals, dissimilar to Blur.”

When it comes to the future of his own band, Graham insists he and the rest of the ‘90s hitmakers, including frontman Damon Albarn, are on good terms, but they have no plans to work on new music as yet. 

“It’s been sort of discussed,” he mused. “We’ve had a few loose talks about it. But it’s nice that we all do different things, too.”

Damon previously said the group have “ideas” for another reunion – three years after they last hit the stage together. 

“We did have a chat recently, but we haven’t really progressed further than that,” he reflected. “We did have an idea though; I’ve just been a bit busy at the moment obviously. 

“When it happens, I’ll be made up… When it’s wanted, I’ll do it. I don’t want to foist that stuff on anybody unnecessarily.”

Duran Duran’s 15th album ‘Future Past’ features 12 new tracks and appearances from long-time David Bowie pianist Mike Garson and singer from Lykke Li.

Three bonus songs are included with the deluxe edition of the record.
