Elton John and Britney Spears will release their new collaboration Hold Me Closer on August 26.
Following reports the pair were working together on a new version of Elton’s 1972 single Tiny Dancer, representatives for the pair last week confirmed the joint track is on the way.
In a post on social media, he has since shared the artwork for the track, featuring childhood pictures of both artists, along with its release date.
Although the direction of the collaboration remains unknown, Britney’s friend Paris Hilton recently teased the “iconic” release.
“I just heard it a few days ago in Ibiza and it is… it’s insane,” she said.
Britney’s return to the studio comes after the pop star shared an Instagram video of herself singing a new version of her debut single …Baby One More Time.
“I haven’t shared my voice in an extremely long time… maybe too long,” she captioned the footage.
