Dua Lipa has scored her second UK No. 1 album with ‘Radical Optimism’.
The third LP from the British pop superstar debuted atop the UK Albums Chart with a total of 46,300 chart units in its first seven days. According to OfficialCharts, it’s the most for any British female since Adele’s ’30’ in November 2021.

‘Radical Optimism’ – which follows her chart-topping 2020 LP, ‘Future Nostalgia’ – also has the biggest opening week of any British act so far this year, surpassing Liam Gallagher and John Squire’s eponymous LP, which shifted 39,400 units in March.
“A couple years ago, a friend introduced me to the term ‘Radical Optimism’. It’s a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life,” Lipa says of the LP
“It struck me – the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm. At the same time, I found myself looking through the music history of psychedelia, trip hop, and Britpop.
“It has always felt so confidently optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude is a feeling I took into my recording sessions.”
In a review of ‘Radical Optimism’, RETROPOP said the album “reinforces Lipa’s position as one of today’s pop greats”.
