Steps star Claire Richards will appear during singer Marisha Wallace’s upcoming concert from London’s Jazz Cafe.
The singing sensation will perform at the iconic venue on December 14th, with a socially-distanced, in-person audience. The event will then be streaming online from 8 pm GMT on 19 December.
“I am so excited to announce my Jazz Cafe concert will be live streamed on Thespie,” says Marisha. “You won’t miss a thing, you can enjoy the concert from your own home.”
The hitmaker, who will soon be appearing in the West End revival of Hairspray, will be performing songs from her album Tomorrow, released in November, and will also be joined onstage by musical theatre icon Kerry Ellis.

Of her latest LP, Marisha adds: “I am so thrilled to be a part of the legacy of Decca records. I keep pinching myself because this is just a dream come true. My first album coming out during this turbulent time in history is a symbol of hope for all of us.
“At the beginning of lockdown the theatres were closed and I thought it was the end, but now I know it was just the beginning of something wonderful.
“To share a label with icons like Shirley Bassey and Ella Fitzgerald I truly feel right at home. I can’t wait to help bring some healing and hope to our world. Because the sun WILL come out tomorrow!”
Meanwhile, Claire is riding high on the success of Steps’ latest album, What The Future Holds, which became their fifth UK Top 5 album. The group will tour the LP in November/December 2021 – tickets are on sale now.
In our review of the album, Retro Pop called What The Future Holds the group’s “most confident, polished release yet” which “plays to each of the members’ strengths and showcases the versatility of Steps as Britain’s premier pop group”.
