Cher is set to return to England to work on two new studio albums.
The pop legend released her most recent LP, the ABBA covers collection ‘Dancing Queen’, with her latest original set ‘Closer To The Truth’ arriving a decade ago.
Speaking to E! News, the Believe star confirmed she’s hard at work on new music and is collaborating with her music producer boyfriend Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards on the project.
“I’m going to England to make two albums,” she said at the ‘Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love’ taping on March 2.
“Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that.”
Sharing her enthusiasm for the LPs, she added: “I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited.”
In addition to new music, the Strong Enough star revealed she’s planning to tour later this year, confessing: “I’m trying to get myself in shape.”
It was recently confirmed that Cher’s nineties albums ‘It’s A Man’s World’ and ‘Believe’ will be expanded and reissued later this year as four-disc box sets, with the first set to arrive in June.
