Cher joined Jennifer Hudson for a surprise performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday (April 1) night.
The Goddess of Pop was due to attend the ceremony to collect the Icon prize, but thrilled fans when she joined vocal powerhouse Jennifer on stage mid-way through her performance at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
The singer and chat show personality soared through an impressive rendition of the 1989 classic If I Could Turn Back Time, before exiting the stage as Cher appeared out of the darkness.
The legend proceeded to give an energetic performance of her monster 1998 hit Believe, with Jennifer joining her at the end to trade-off vocals.

Accepting the prize, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Cher gave an inspiring speech about the highs and lows of her career as she encouraged fans to never give up on their dreams and ambitions.
“I want to tell you this because I don’t usually talk about it, but I have been down and out so many times that you cannot believe it – dropped from record companies and couldn’t get a job,” she recalled. “And at that time I went to Las Vegas, which they called the Elephant’s Graveyard, and I had a huge show.
“And they just said, ‘Oh God, she’s so over’,” she continued. “But, I never gave up my dream. And standing on this stage… I love standing on the stage. And this is kind of my dream. And I stand there, and the music plays, and all of a sudden, out of my body comes this voice. And people seem to like it.”
Imparting some additional words of wisdom, the singer – who smashed records last year with her first-ever Christmas album – added: “To me, in my experience, is have a dream and then don’t give it up no matter what happens.
“Because I know from my own experience that if you have a dream, and you stick with it, you will have a wonderful life, and it probably will come true.”
