Lady A star Charles Kelley has teamed up with country powerhouse Maren Morris on a duet version of his latest single ‘Can’t Be Alone Tonight’.
Originally featured on his second solo outing ‘Songs For A New Moon’, released in 2025, the mid-tempo tune combines contemporary pop production with country elements.
On the collaboration, which features shared lead vocals from Kelley and Morris, with lyrics centred on themes of longing and emotional conflict, Kelley says: “Maren has been one of my favorite female voices in the genre ever since she busted on the scene with ‘My Church’
“Over the years, we’ve become great friends, and when thinking of who I could have sung with me on this song, she was my first choice,” he adds (via Us Weekly). “I’m honoured she said yes, and I think she elevated this song to another level.”
Morris previously served as the opening act on Kelley’s tour supporting his first solo album ‘The Driver’, released in 2016.
