Celine Dion is to be the subject of a new documentary film.
The project will be produced by Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division, in partnership with SME Canada and Vermilion Films, and is set to document the highs and lows of the star’s phenomenal 40-year career.
In a statement, Celine said of the movie, directed by Irene Taylor Brodsky: “I’ve always been an open book with my fans and with sensitivity and thoughtful creativity, I think that Irene will be able to show everyone a part of me that they haven’t seen before.
“I know she’ll tell my story in the most honest and heartfelt way.”
Brodsky’s previous work includes documentary films ‘Hear and Now’ and ‘The Final Inch’.
Earlier this year, an unauthorised Celine Dion biopic received a five-minute standing ovation after a screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
‘Aline’, starring Valerie Lemercier – who also directs the flick – is described in its trailer as “a fiction freely inspired by the life of Celine Dion”.
