Avril Lavigne’s last album, 2019’s ‘Head Above Water’, saw the star find surprise success on the US Christian charts, but she’s going back to what she does best for LP No. 7!
Taking to social media, the Girlfriend hitmaker confirmed her new album is “done” and is due out soon.
Responding to a comment by a follower about new tracks, she replied: “it’s done !!! Music coming soon. For sure summer. (sic)”
Avril has been in the studio with the likes Machine Gun Kelly and producer John Feldmann, and she recently joined forces with Mod Sun on his song Flames.

In a previous interview, John revealed Avril is making pop-punk again.
He said: “I’m working on making an album with Avril Lavigne right now who I just love. I love making this album, I love her and I’m having the best time.”
When asked whether she’ll be “bringing back her pop-punk roots”, John replied: “F**k yeah!”
Meanwhile, Avril also revealed she had been in the studio “every day for the last two weeks” late last year.
The singer shot to fame in 2002 with her debut hit, Complicated, and went on to score global success with a further six albums and singles including I’m With You, When You’re Gone and What The Hell.
