Melanie C is gearing up to release her first album in five years.
The Spice Girls star revealed in a new interview with the Sunday Mirror’s No Filter column that her ninth solo record is “done and ready to go”, with the LP seeing her continue to explore “electronic pop music”.
“The last few albums, I’ve been leaning more towards electronic pop music,” she explained.”And with this one, I really wanted to embrace that more, with dance music and all the DJing I’ve been doing.
“I just wanted to have fun with it and create something I love.
“The album is done, and news will be coming soon.”
Earlier this year, Melanie revealed during an interview on ‘The Rebecca Judd Show’ on Apple Music 1 that she’s collaborated with a number of up-and-coming artists on the project, sharing: “I’ve been working with some female artists, Rose Gray, who’s a new artist who’s brilliant.
“We worked together with Uffie, who’s great. It’s so lovely to get more women on the record.”
