Eventim Apollo, London
Following the release of her sophomore album ‘Silence Between Songs’, American singer Madison Beer is currently embarking on the European leg of her ‘Spinnin Tour.’
For the London stop, the 25-year-old performed her biggest UK show at Hammersmith’s iconic Eventim Apollo, accompanied by a live band, a big screen and a roaring crowd.
Opening a set filled with all the emotions was the psychedelic pop banger Home To Another One and the ethereal number was met with such passion that fans were screaming the lyrics louder than she was singing them.
With a clear admiration for her back catalogue, the audience carried on belting out every word as Beer continued with more favourites – Good In Goodbye, Sweet Relief and ‘Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You).
As the show proceeded with futuristic visuals and occasionally some throwback clips, Beer slowed down the pace with several ballads. A standout moment was the heartfelt Selfish; a signature hit from her discography that effortlessly shows off her elegant vocals.
The ultimate highlight of the night, however, was when she performed her latest single Make You Mine. Turning the venue into a nightclub, the sexy yet euphoric anthem almost blew the roof off with 5,300 fans jumping up and down as if their life depended on it.
Maintaining that energy, Beer went straight into BOYSHIT and turned up the sass levels even further.
Having already sung over 20 songs, she completed her beastly set on a high with the Queen-inspired King of Everything.
Having attended many shows from Beer over the years, it’s clear that the stage is where she shines most. And while her career continues to see her booked on bigger stages each time she hits the road, it’s time she got what she deserves, which is a national arena tour.
