Eurovision 2023 winner Loreen has reached a new personal best of No. 2 in the UK Singles Chart with Tattoo.
The Swedish star – who beat out competition from Finland and Israel last weekend to secure her second trophy, after winning in 2012 with Euphoria – climbs to second place, behind Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s Miracle, which holds at No. 1.
“I’m absolutely overwhelmed by all the love and support that I’m receiving right now, especially from my UK friends that’ve been with me since day one,” she tells OfficialCharts.
“The UK’s become my second home, and to receive a new peak there with Tattoo means the world to me. Thank you for being a part of the journey. Together, we’ve created history.”
It’s also good news for Finland and Norway – who finished second and fifth during Saturday’s Grand Final – with Käärijä’s Cha Cha Cha in at No. 6 and Alessandra’s Queen of Kings at No. 10.
She comes in one place behind the UK’s Mae Muller, who makes her Top 10 debut at No. 9 after finishing 25th at Eurovision.
Elsewhere in the Top 5 this week, David Kushner’s Daylight hits a new peak at No. 3, which former No. 1s from Ed Sheeran (Eyes Closed) and Lewis Capaldi (Wish You The Best) finish at four and five.
