Paramore’s latest album ‘This Is Why’ has become the group’s third UK No. 1.
The group’s sixth LP is their first to reach the summit in over a decade, beating Harry Styles’ ‘Harry’s House’ to the top spot.
“For this record, which was so inspired and influenced by some of our favourite British bands over the last couple decades, to debut at Number 1 in the UK is so ridiculously cool and surreal,” they told OfficialCharts.com.
“As if we weren’t already dying to get back over there and play some shows. Thank you to the fans and friends over there for all your love. Thanks for waiting for us. Be there soon!”
In at No. 3 is The Weeknd with ‘The Highlights’, ahead of a new entry from You Me At Six with ‘Truth Decay’ at No. 4 and ‘Midnights’ from Taylor Swift in at No. 5.
Over on the Singles Chart, Miley Cyrus retains the top spot for a fifth consecutive week with Flowers, as RAYE and 070 Shake’s Escapism holds strong at No. 2.
Rising to three is PinkPantheress with Boy’s a Liar, while SZA is at No. 4 with Kill Bill and Miguel’s Sure Thing rounds out the Top 5.
