Nelly Furtado is reportedly working on new music.
According to Billboard, the singer-songwriter has been recording new music and collaborating with local artists in Colombia.
The outlet notes that although Nelly only has two posts on her Instagram page – promoting expanded editions of her debut LP ‘Whoa, Nelly!’ and third album ‘Loose’ – she’s been sharing regular updates on her Stories.
One set of updates saw her hanging out with Li Saumet, lead singer of electro-tropical Bomba Estéreo, at Papaya Studios, while on another post she shared a selfie with the word “gracias”.
It comes as singer and musician Lido Pimienta also confirmed a collaboration with the Say It Right star is in the works.
“The rumors are true. Nelly Furtado is in Barranquilla,” she tweeted. “She came to see me, she came to hang out and support a project that we’ve been working on for my next album.”
Nelly debuted in 2000 with her global hit single I’m Like a Bird and has gone on to release six studio albums, including her most recent LP ‘The Ride’ in 2017.
