Sophie Ellis-Bextor enjoys nothing more than pouring a glass of wine and working on Lego after hectic day entertaining her kids during lockdown.
The Off & On hitmaker has taken to her Ninjago City Lego set as part of her nightly routine, revealing it’s a form of meditation for the pop star.
Sophie told Grazia her husband, The Feeling star Richard Jones, bought her the kit for Christmas and she’s “in the final bit”.
“The kids are all in bed, optimistically, by 10 pm. Then I’ll pour myself a glass of red wine and sit down with my Lego,” she revealed.
“I’ll watch some telly and work on it. I’ve never been able to meditate but I think this gives me a similar sort of feeling of tranquillity.”
The hobby goes on into the early hours, the Murder On The Dancefloor singer revealed, adding: “I suppose I get to the end of the day and think, ‘It doesn’t really matter if I’m tired, I’m not doing anything tomorrow’.
“But actually, I’m in more of a routine than I would recognise,” Sophie reflected.
During lockdown, the singer was a hit on Instagram, as her Kitchen Discos were the go-to source of Friday evening entertainment.
