Kim Wilde is spreading some festive cheer with a virtual acoustic performance.
The Kids in America singer will premiere the set of holiday hits on December 18th at 8 pm GMT on YouTube, featuring original tracks from her Wilde Winter Songbook album along with classic covers.
“This Friday at 8pm (UK Time) we are releasing a free live show on YouTube,” announced Kim on Twitter.
“Just a little Christmas show to get you all in the spirit and to raise awareness for 2 relief funds that are helping out of work musicians and road crew during the pandemic.”
The gig is set to benefit StageHand and Crew Nation and, in a description of the show, Kim explains: “We’re so pleased to be able to bring you this Christmas show.
“2020 has been a difficult year for everybody, but road crew and musicians who make a living from the live music industry have seen their income disappear and many are struggling to keep their homes and families afloat.
“Please consider supporting them so that we can bring live music back in 2021. Even the smallest donations really help. Both StageHand and Crew Nation are running excellent relief funds that are really helping those most in need.
“We all hope you have a great Christmas and that 2021 will see us all back together in a live music venue near you,” adds the star.
You can donate to both StageHand and Crew Nation here.
