Steps have released the “uplifting, ABBA-esque” anthem Something In Your Eyes as the second single from their new album
The group made a sensational comeback earlier this month with the Sia-penned title track from their forthcoming release, What The Future Holds and, after slowing things down for promo single Under My Skin, it’s back to business with their latest hit.
In a press release, Claire Richards gushes of the tune: “It’s so much fun… It’s a real nod to old Steps, but it works so well alongside the lead single.
“You can’t help but sing along to it and feel uplifted by it.”
Something In Your Eyes was originally performed by Swedish singer Jenny Silver at Melodifestivalen 2011 in a bid to represent her country at the Eurovision Song Contest that year. However, it was knocked out at the first semi-final, with Eric Saade going on to represent the country and finishing in second place with his hit Popular.
Pre-order the album What The Future Holds, released November 27th, on CD, pink vinyl, picture disc vinyl, and individual member cassettes here.
