Kylie Minogue has called on one of Steps’ premier songwriters to pen a new track for her forthcoming album Disco.
Fiona Bevan, who wrote the group’s hits Scared Of The Dark and Neon Blue, taken from the 2017 album Tears On The Dancefloor, has written track 11 on the album. Bevan also co-wrote the title track on Claire Richards’ solo album, My Wildest Dreams, and has worked with stars including Mika and One Direction. The title of the song remains unknown.
Elsewhere on the album, Kylie has continued the writing spree that began in the Golden era, co-writing 10 of the 12 standard tracks – including lead single Say Something – and all four of the deluxe edition songs.
Several songwriters from the golden era are also onboard for Disco, including Daniel Shah and Skylar Adams (Stop Me from Falling, A Lifetime To Repair), Jonathan Green (Radio On, Lost Without You), Ash Howes (One Last Kiss), Kiris Houston (A Lifetime To Repair)
Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard, who worked on Golden and also penned Please Stay, Love At First Sight, and In Your Eyes, among other Kylie tracks, is also featured, along with Peter Wallevik and Daniel Heløy Davidsen (Get Outta My Way, Million Miles).

“There’s definitely a balance of fun and pure escapism… and also an emotional element.”
