Whitney Houston’s classic album series is set to be reissued on vinyl next year.
The late diva shot to fame in the mid-1980s with the release of her self-titled debut album in 1985, topping the charts worldwide and landing five Grammy nominations – including Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female, for Saving All My Love for You.
It also delivered hits such as How Will I Know and Greatest Love of All, while follow-up ‘Whitney’ launched her career to new heights, with the global smashes I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) and So Emotional.
Heading into the 1990s, her third album ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’ became another hit for the superstar, and in 1992 her appearance in ‘The Bodyguard’ took her back to the top of the charts with her cover of Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You.
Four years later, a cover of The Four Tops’ I Believe in You and Me from ‘The Preacher’s Wife’ soundtrack was another hit, while follow-up album ‘My Love Is Your Love’ was another global sensation, with the hit Mariah Carey collaboration When You Believe and the epic It’s Not Right But It’s OK.
‘Whitney’, ‘Whitney Houston’, ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’, ’The Preacher’s Wife’, and ‘My Love Is Your Love’ will be reissued on vinyl in 2023.
“We are pleased to announce that in 2023, five Whitney albums will be released on vinyl throughout the year,” reads an announcement on social media.
Further details will be announced in due course.
